RED GOLD: THE CEDAR STORY BY HELENE LEANE upstairs at JANET CLAYTON GALLERY Sydney
WED 29 MAR - SUN 23 APR 2017
Official opening: Friday 31 March, 5.30pm
Through a series of monotype printmaking, Helene Leane explores the history of the majestic Australian Red Cedar Tree.
A recent move to the Hunter Valley, to the district where this tree once called home, has informed the making of these works which celebrate the patterns, delicate layers and changing colours of the leaves of a now re-planted Cedar landscape.
